Carin Ellberg. The Others Drift In

Carin Ellberg’s exhibition The Others Drift In took place at Carl Eldh’s Studio Museum (Stockholm) in the summer of 2018.

Who are the others? From its very title, this suggestive intervention at Carl Eldh’s Studio Museum opens the door to eerie, unusual beings at the luminous atelier. These beings are the work of Carin Ellberg (b. 1959), whose artistic practice has been
developing since the mid-1980s. Gently but steadily infiltrating the studio and the garden, the newcomers are a floating presence that invite us to perceive differently the creative home of the Swedish sculptor Carl Eldh (1873-1954).

In connection with the exhibition, a bilingual catalogue with an essay by writer and curator Alba Baeza has been published. An artist talk (in Swedish) between Carin Ellberg and Alba Baeza took place in the museum on May 31, 2018.
